2 1/2 year old Baby Rocco Cangemi was hit & killed in front of his families vacation home on Long Island , New York on labor day weekend September 2, 2017 by a speeding distracted driver in a posted 5 mile an hour speed zone.
Soon after the tragedy Rocco’s Dad Guitarist Joey “Jem” Cangemi assembled “Rocco’s Road Crew” putting together musicians & volunteers to spread the word of the foundations work and created the Event now known as “ Rock 4 Rocco."
The first Rock 4 Rocco event in June of 2018 which Joey Jem performed on the big stage for the first time in 20 years to honor the memory of his son Baby Rocco raised an astounding
$ 6,800.00 in 4 hours.
After that event Joe decided to write & record an album of original music dedicated to his son Baby Rocco. He reached out to long time friend & Keyboard player Nick Troiani to discuss the project. Next step was to find the perfect front man, vocalist & lyricist to collaborate with on the material. Joe knew exactly what he wanted spiritually as well as vocally. A mutual friend put him in touch with Don Chaffin of Voices of Extreme & from the first note Rocco’s “Road Crew” the band was created.
They immediately began collaborating on Demo’s for the album. The thought of a Bass player & Drummer for the project was never discussed. Joe already had the players picked in his mind. He worked briefly with Rod Morgenstein back in 2004 & reached out to him to ask him for his help on the project. At the same time a good friend Joey Ragz had recently worked with Billy Sheehan on a project called Madam Mayhem. Joe reached out personally to Billy & he was more than happy to help out with the project & the foundation.
On January 4, 2019 history was made when Billy Sheehan & Rod Morgenstein recorded together for the first time on Road Crew’s debut album named “Side A” which includes a modern day remake of Zeppelins Rock N Roll highlighting each musicians individual talents.
For Rocco’s dad , The meaning of “Long Live Rock “ reaches above & beyond the music.
With the help of Billy & Rod’s selfless contribution "The Baby Rocco Foundation" has raised
$ 58,000.00 since its inception as well as other events raising another reported $ 60,000.00 .
When asked about the future of “ROAD CREW” as a band. Founder & Lead guitarist Joey Jem Cangemi stated- "Every one involved with Road Crew & the Baby Rocco Foundation has inherently become part of the Baby Rocco family. We are all going to do what ever it takes to keep his Memory & “Rock” alive !"
Joe also added ——
“ I am pretty sure if we get called to do the 1/2 time show at the Super Bowl .... Billy & Rod will be there ! “
The inspiration to remake Rock N Roll was directly attributed to the tragic death of lead guitarist Joey Jem 's 2 1/2 year old son Baby Rocco which he used to call (Rock). Joey Jem wants to keep the memory his son Baby Rocco & Rock N Roll music alive. What better way to have the Worlds Best Rock N Roll Bass player Billy Sheehan & Drummer Rod Morgenstein record the song to keep the heart of Rock N Roll Music & the memory of his son alive forever. Road Crew recorded Rock N Roll keeping it true to its original format giving it a modern sound for all future generations to enjoy .
Billy Sheehan & Rod Morgenstein have graciously taken the time out of their extensive recording & touring careers to bring awareness to the fundamental values of The Baby Rocco Foundation. They Continue to be a part of helping the foundation raise money through their generosity of time, talent & celebrity status. Road Crew is putting the finishing touches on their debut album "Side A". The First single Rock N Roll has been released on all Major Platforms including I Tunes & Amazon Music. Due to each members relentless working schedule, official tour dates will be announced in early 2020.

Jordan Cannata has a long history behind a drum set that was molded by his relentless passion for music, drumming, and an unwavering thirst to expand upon his knowledge and abilities. Growing up in a family of music lovers, it wasn't surprising when Jordan and his brother Jared quickly developed an interest in music. At the age of 8, his parents bought him a guitar because his brother wanted one and they didn't want Jordan to feel left out. However, Jordan showed no interest in it, opting to bang on things with chopsticks rather than play his guitar. Realizing this, his parents bought him his first drum set and Jordan has been making noise ever since.
ROAD CREW has been working with Jordan since inception. Jordan is the original drummer on Road Crew's demo tracks prior to Rod Morgenstein joining the project in January 2019. Jordan is the ultimate drummers drummer & a perfect fit for when Morgenstein is Recording & touring with Steve Morse & Winger . Road Crew are lucky to have Rod & Jordan as member of our family.
Check out Jordan's Link Below
Jordan and his brother Jared co-founded their band J.Rad. With J.Rad, Jordan has recorded 3 albums and shared the stage with many great artists such as Twisted Sister, Living Colour, Filter, Joe Bonamassa, Vince Neil (Motley Crue), Scott Stapp (Creed), Bret Michaels (Poison), Mountain, Johnny Winter, Gilby Clarke (Guns n Roses), Blue Oyster Cult, Asia, Saliva, Yngwie Malmsteen, Styper, LA Guns, Rick Derringer, Otherwise, Gemini Syndrome, Zach Myers (Shinedown), Saving Abel, Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf), and many others.
In 2017, Jordan joined the ranks of Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment artists, Adrenaline Mob (a position formerly held by both Mike Portnoy and AJ Pero). Jordan was introduced as the new drummer for Adrenaline Mob with a drum solo video that received over 2.5 million views and is still climbing. Jordan’s debut album with Adrenaline Mob titled “We The People” was released in the summer of 2017. It debuted at #2 on the iTunes Metal Chart, and #15 on the iTunes Rock Chart, and was supported by a US headline tour.
Unfortunately, the tour ended in tragedy. A truck driver fell asleep behind the wheel and struck the band’s bus, injuring the entire band and crew, and killing bassist David Z and tour manager Janet Rains. After this accident, Adrenaline Mob dis-banded and everyone needed time to heal.
After several months of recovery, Jordan was asked to form a new band which is now known as Stereo Satellite which features Jordan, his brother Jared Cannata on guitar, singer Lukas Rossi (Rockstar Supernova), and bassist Erik Leonhardt (Tantric). In less than a year, Stereo Satellite had opened for Bon Jovi, played the Shiprocked Cruise alongside bands such as Stone Sour, In This Moment, Seether, P.O.D., and Black Label Society, and has had multiple songs get mainstream New York radio play. The band’s debut album is being released later this summer and will be followed by supporting tours.
In 2018, Jordan also joined the ranks of two more bands; Sugarmore, a group of musicians with a mixture of rock and theatrical backgrounds who create pop-fusion versions of modern hits, as well as the band Voices of Extreme. Sugarmore’s focus is creating video content, and has garnered 75,000 views with their first two videos. With Voices of Extreme, Jordan spent portions of 2018 touring the US opening for Tesla and will be continuing to tour as well as record new music throughout the year.
